Finding Captain’s Rest
Captain’s Rest is situated
18km east of Penneshaw on Willoughby Rd.
If coming from Penneshaw, go
through the township and turn left after the Information Centre and the
Penneshaw School; the signs indicate Antechamber Bay and Cape Willoughby
Lightstation.
The road is sealed for the
first part and then is unsealed and often corrugated during the dryer seasons
for the remainder. Care must be taken as the surface can be unstable.
After 18km you will come to
the sign to Antechamber Bay (West). Continue a further 900m along Willoughby
Road and keep an eye out for the sign-posted entrance to Captain’s Rest on the
right hand side.
